Pamela Hibbler On Her Mission To Create A Safe Space For Women To Unite Globally
Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I am the CEO and Co-Founder of a new startup called TechMae. A mobile app created for women to unite, share resources, and empower their lives. I have a tech background and have been working in that field previously. I’ve always been drawn to the tech field and enjoyed working with and on computers. Several years ago I got the idea to create a space specifically for other women in tech to connect with one another and give each other guidance and mentorship….. Upon researching for this myself I found that a lot of those spaces didn’t exist for women like me.. That’s how I got the idea. And a few years ago I was given the opportunity to start working towards this idea and making it an actual tangible thing.
Tell me about TechMae?
TechMae is a revolutionary new social networking app that is built specifically for women. TechMae is designed to empower women in real-time, and to provide a supportive community for women of all ages and backgrounds. The app features a variety of groups and communities that cater to the specific needs of women, from investing to mentorship, and from stay at home moms to entrepreneurs.
The TechMae app is different from other social networking apps because it is focused on empowering women and supporting each other. This is a movement that we want to start, to create a community where women can connect and help each other, especially in cases of depression and feeling alone or just needing a supportive community. The app will help women to feel understood and supported, and to empower them to make positive changes in their lives.
In today’s world, it’s important that women start connecting and helping each other more than ever. The pressures of society can make it difficult for women to feel confident and supported. By joining the TechMae movement, women can empower one another and create a brighter future for themselves and for generations to come.
Why is entrepreneurship important to you?
Entrepreneurship has always held a special place in my heart, thanks to my grandmother who owned her own business. It’s something that I was exposed to at a young age and it wasn’t something that I was afraid of, but rather something that I was given the opportunity to pursue. The reason I founded TechMae, a social networking app for women, is because I understand the importance of having the right tools and resources when embarking on a career journey, especially in entrepreneurship. I believe that all women should have the opportunity to pursue entrepreneurship if they choose to and that’s why providing resources and support is essential. Building TechMae from scratch has been incredibly fulfilling and I believe it’s important to empower women to take control of their careers and reach their full potential.
What are your goals for the new year with TechMae?
Our goal at TechMae is to empower women and create a community where women are constantly being uplifted and supported. In a world where women are often underrepresented and undervalued, it’s more important than ever that we come together and build a powerful network of support. Especially during times of economic uncertainty, when many women are facing financial struggles and job loss.
With TechMae, our mission is to provide women with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their careers and personal lives. We believe that when women come together, we can accomplish anything. We want our platform to be the the place that connects women from all walks of life, from mothers to college students to career women and entrepreneurs.
A welcoming environment where women can share their experiences, exchange ideas, and collaborate to achieve their goals.
To achieve this, we have set out to grow our user base and increase brand awareness. We are planning to create engaging social media campaigns and ramp up our marketing efforts to reach more women. We are also working to improve the user experience and make sure that the app is always fulfilling the needs of our users.
What is it like being a Black Woman in tech?
As women, we all face challenges in the tech industry. However, it is particularly difficult for black women, as we often experience discrimination and harassment at a higher rate. Despite this, we are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the USA, and now is our time to shine.
It is important to remember that the challenges faced by black women in tech are not unique to just us. All women in tech face similar challenges, and it is crucial that we come together to support one another. By lifting each other up, we can create a more inclusive and equitable industry for all women.
What advice do you have for other women entrepreneurs?
As a woman entrepreneur, it’s important to be aware of the unique challenges and barriers that you may face. To overcome these challenges, it can be helpful to seek out resources and support specifically for women entrepreneurs, such as networking groups like TechMae, mentorship programs, and conferences in your industry. Stay informed about any laws or policies that may impact your business and advocate for yourself and other women in your industry. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether it be from your team members, mentors, or professional service providers. Find support systems. You don’t have to go through this journey alone.
